Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. What makes InjurySync different?
  • A. InjurySync is a web-based platform that allows medical providers and lawyers to exchange documents and information electronically. The dynamic software enables clinic owners and attorneys alike to more rapidly assess the status of their files, resulting in increased efficiency and profitability. No other third party medical billing company offers a solution to the headaches associated with personal injury medical treatment billing.

  • Q. How Do I Get Started Using InjurySync as my Third Party Billing Company?
  • A. InjurySync stands ready to assist in the transition. The InjurySync team will guide your practice every step of the way. There will be a seamless transfer of your files into our billing and collection system. You should start seeing results within 2-3 weeks. All materials and information obtained by InjurySync is held in a secure, HIPAA Compliant confidential location allowing our clients peace of mind.

  • Q. What Does InjurySync Need From My Office To Get Started Filing A Claim?
  • A. At a minimum, InjurySync will need the following:
    • Copies of each patient registration or information sheet (one time only with the exception of any changes);
    • Copies of both the front and back of the patient insurance card (one time only, unless a change in coverage takes place);
    • Superbills, daysheets, or daily charge sheets which include all CPT, ICD-9, modifiers, and HCPC codes;
    • A Patient Carrier Verification sheet;
    • Copy of the Acknowledgement of Notice of Privacy Practices signed by each patient (needed only once) in accordance with HIPAA Privacy Regulations; and
    • Copy of the patient's authorization form, only as needed.
    If additional information is needed for a specific case, InjurySync will notify the Client immediately.

  • Q. How long does it take to get started?
  • A. 30 minutes... InjurySync will bring all necessary enrollment forms for setup. It can take approximately 4-6 weeks for Medicare, Medicaid and BCBS (Blue Cross Blue Shield) electronic enrollment; however, commercial carriers usually take as little as 24-48 hours to accept claims electronically.

  • Q. Is InjurySync's Software HIPAA Compliant?
  • A. Yes, InjurySync's software and office is fully HIPAA compliant. InjurySync also checks semi-annually if Clients are keeping up with HIPAA regulations, because if they are not following regulations, InjurySync cannot be compliant as well. InjurySync makes certain the Client has the necessary forms to be HIPAA compliant.

  • Q. What are the fees?
  • A. InjurySync is a professional Medical Billing Business and we take pride in our work. InjurySync has three (3) different fee structures because we know that no two offices are alike. InjurySync bills by a percentage fee schedule. InjurySync bases the fee schedule on how much the Client gets reimbursed on a monthly basis from the insurance carrier, NOT by the billed or charged amount. We bill clients on a monthly basis based on the following rates:
    • Schedule A: Reimbursed - Less Than $500,000.00/mth @ 8%
    • Schedule B: Reimbursed - $500,000.00/mth @ 7%
    • Schedule C: Reimbursed - $1M/mth @ 6%

  • Q. Are There Setup Fees and if so, What Are They?
  • A. Yes, the setup fee includes setting your office up with the necessary forms and enrollments to get your claims paid. If your information sheets do not have all the information needed to process the claim, InjurySync will cure the issue. InjurySync will make sure the Client has the proper forms. InjurySync will design a Superbill or Charge Sheet for the Client if one is not available. The setup fee also includes registering the Client's practice with a clearinghouse for electronic claims filing. The actual setup fee will be determined at the time the Client executes the standard agreement with InjurySync.

  • Q. How Does The Client Get Information to InjurySync?
  • A. There are 3 ways:
    1. Fax daily or weekly;
    2. Email; or
    3. Mail/UPS/FedEx.
